FileGuard's own analytics storage
FileGuard measures which pages and campaigns lead to demo requests and trials using its own servers, with no third-party analytics service. Even though it is first-party, it is optional and only starts after you choose "Allow analytics". Until then, how you arrived is held only in the open page's memory and is discarded if you leave or choose "Reject".
- fg.consent.v1 (browser local storage, essential): remembers your choice for 12 months.
- fg.acq.v1 (local storage, optional): a random ID and your first visit's landing page, a broad source (for example search, social or a campaign tag) and the referring website's name only — kept for up to 180 days.
- fg.acq.session and fg.visit.* (session storage, optional): this visit's landing details, cleared when the tab is closed.
With your permission we also send anonymous "page viewed" and "button clicked" counts to our servers. These never contain your name, email, phone number, IP address, full web addresses or anything you type. If you later sign up or request a demo, the random ID may be linked to that account or request so we can see which pages help customers. Server-side records are kept for up to 13 months.
You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawing deletes the optional browser storage above and stops new collection.
